Getting Sick While Being A Voice Talent

No Comments 23 November 2010

Lets face it, our lives change just like the seasons and sickness creeps up on us just when we least expect it.  Being a professional voice talent, I have to keep taking my vitamins, eat healthy foods and PLENTY of Vitamin C.  I recommend Chicken Noodle Soup and LOTS of OJ when you get sick.  A voice talent is just like anyone else, but has the capabilities to record in a home studio.  I really enjoy being a voice talent because it gives me the option to be creative and help others.  Warm wishes to you and yours this Thanksgiving season.  :)

Life As A Voice Talent

No Comments 29 October 2010

Being a voice talent takes time and work.  As studying each piece of advice I can grasp from articles, people, magazines, etc, I have to take all of that information and process it to help strengthen my skill.  Being a voice actor does not involve just sitting in front of a microphone and talking, it takes real skill and time to develop technique, timing, everything really.  Set aside as a voice over talent, I have a normal life as well.  Everyone thinks that just because I talk for a living, means I am available 24/7 or something.  :)   Believe me, I wish I could be available 24/7, I’d be rich!  If you are thinking of becoming a voice over talent, contact me.  I’d be more than happy to give you a nice aspect of this awesome career.

Thanksgiving Time

No Comments 14 October 2010

So that time is on it’s way once again, Thanksgiving time! I can just smell the home cooked meals, see the windows in the kitchen and all around the house, steam up from the warmness of the cooking and smell that Pumpkin pie. Mmm, mmm, MMM! My favorite part of Thanksgiving is that I get to celebrate it with two families every year. I visit with my mom’s side of the family, then my dad’s. Each family has something different and that’s what makes it cool! The special part is that I can laugh and joke with family and friends and be happy. My most favorite part is the Pumpkin pie. Mmm, I can just taste it now! What’s your favorite part about Thanksgiving?

Husband Saves Pregnant Wife With His Life

No Comments 17 September 2010

Brian Wood, more than a husband, a true hero.  My dear girlfriend Tanya, whom I love very much, shared this link with me today.  That was the first time I had every heard anything about who Brian or Erin Wood were.  Her and I both comment that It’s very sad.  It’s a very touching story about a man who took his life to save his pregnant wife.  See full story below.

I tell my girlfriend this all the time, that I would take my very own life for her, if I had to, THAT’S just how much I love and care for her.  She knows I want to marry her one day.  It takes TRUE commitment, even if it means sacrificing your own life for the woman you love.  I always make sure she makes it home safe, to and from work, or wherever she’s going.  A simple, “Please text me or call when you make it home safe” is all you need to ask, to stir up some love.  I do NOT support drinking and driving or anyone who is high while driving.  I feel these people should think twice about their actions before they do it.  The traffic is horrendous as it is and with people like this adding to the mix on the roads, it does not make the roads safer to drive on.  I hope to start a campaign promoting safter driving in Wisconsin here.  You can visit my website: www.helpdrivesafe.webs.com for more information.

My prayers are with you Erin Wood.  I’ve made a kind donation to your trust fund.  http://www.brianwoodmemorialtrust.com/  I hope it helps.  May God bless you and your little one on the way!  I have two children myself, Natalie and Nolan.  I love them dearly.  They are growing up FAST!

Commercials – Best EVER.

So, when you think about ads or commercials, you probably want to gag, right?  We’ve heard them all, we know what they sound like, we end up usually changing the station on the radio dial.  This is an ad that I came across a few months ago and of all ads or commercials, it takes the cake.  Grab your Kleenex box, you’re probably going to need one…

“Always wear your seat belt.”

What Makes A Healthy Relationship?

No Comments 16 September 2010

What do you think makes a healthy relationship? I believe communication is the biggest factor. Communication is one of the biggest keys to a successful relationship. If you don’t have communication, you’re doomed. If you keep your feelings bottled inside and never talk about the issue, it will never be fixed and things will only worsen. If the person loves you and truly wants to be with you, they WILL get through ANY kind of relationship problem with you. Trust is also another big key factor to a healthy relationship. If you are quick to be jealous for no reason at all, you’re just paranoid about nothing. If you’re honey loves you truly, you have nothing to fear. :)

What’s Your Favorite Restaurant?

No Comments 16 September 2010

As a voice actor, when I eat out, I try to eat healthy and make healthier choices on the menu. If I go to Taco Bell, I usually eat two or three regular tacos. They aren’t the worst for you, only the beef. Sometimes I go to McDonalds as well. I usually buy a hamburger, but sometimes when I’m super hungry, I order a lot more than I really should! LOL. We all do that from time to time. One of my all time favorite places to dine out (with my sweetheart, Tanya) is Longhorn Steakhouse. I love to order a nice, big, juicy steak and we usually share it, less calories for us that way. :) I haven’t been to Good Company of Appleton in awhile, but that place would be on my top list as well.

My Favorite Season

No Comments 16 September 2010

What’s your favorite season? Mine is Spring! My honey also loves this season as well. It’s not too hot, not too cold, it’s just right. :) I love all of the seasons though. I love just about any season because of the beauty they hold. I really just hate the cold. I’m totally not ready for winter right now. The days are getting cooler and the nights are getting even colder. Being a voice over talent, it’s hard to keep up during the allergy seasons because my allergies act up. Sometimes I lose my voice and that’s bad for a voice actor, for obvious reasons! ;)
